Russia's Gross Domestic Product
The current GDP, last taken in 2015 by the World Bank, is $1326.02 billion USD, a significant drop from $2030.97 billion USD in 2014.
The United States' GDP, on the other hand, is $18036.65 USD billion, the highest it has ever been.
The GDP per capita for Russia is $14,611.70 USD, while America's GDP per capita is $53,041.98 USD. This signifies that on average, a citizen of America produces $40,000 more worth of goods and services than a citizen does in Russia. This also shows that Russia is less productive than America. Russia is a centrally planned economy, so citizens have little freedom and there is no profit incentive to encourage entrepreneurship. This would explain for the lack of output, compared to America where citizens have the freedom and are often encouraged to innovate, since they will be rewarded for their work if it is successful.
